Stephen McKinney


As the President of Fire Safe Protection Services, Stephen is the account manager for the largest healthcare provider in Houston. His 40 years of fire alarm and security experience has been the driving force of the company since 1993. Stephen graduated with his Bachelors of Science in computer science from Loyola University.

Phillip Sammons

Vice President

As the vice president, Phillip manages our New Construction and Design divisions. Throughout his 30 years at Fire Safe, Phillip has managed several departments including installation, inspection, and design. His extensive code knowledge allows us to design life safety solutions for all market types.

Larry Lewis


Larry has 40 years of financial controls and planning experience specializing in the construction and energy sectors. He achieved his Bachelors of Business Administration in accounting and Masters of Business Administration from Baylor University.

Kenneth Trevino

Service Operations Manager

Kenneth provides the utmost customer care for all facets of life safety service including: fire alarm, sprinkler, security, extinguisher, and nurse call services. He brings decades of diverse fire protection industry experience from the apprentice level through vice president of service operations. Kenneth is adorned with prestigious industry certifications from Pennsylvania State and Cornell Universities in addition to earning his Six Sigma Blue Belt in process training.

Joshua Collom

Service Manager

Joshua has over 30 years of fire and life safety experience and has been a vital member of our field services for 15 years. He has a wide array of experience on multiple systems in all markets. His skillset allows us to keep our field technicians optimally trained while continuously improving the services we provide.

Shawn Bradshaw

Construction Manager

Shawn has been a strong pillar of support for Fire Safe Protection Services since 1997. He brought over 20 years of commercial construction experience when he onboarded and has a keen eye for quality. He sets high performance and professionalism standards for himself and his team consisting of project managers, programmers, and installation technicians. He strives to be the industry leader in technology, training, and onsite performance. His philosophy of maintaining good employee relationships through mutual respect and understanding enables us to provide excellent quality of service to all customers.

Bruce Burianek

CEO and Co-Founder

Bruce has been associated with the fire protection industry for more than 40 years and leading the Fire Safe team for more than 35 years. He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and started the company at a time when relay logic was giving way to semi-conductor TTL logic. Although the industry has changed his dedication to professional standards and customer service has not. His drive and dedication has led Fire Safe to 10 Platinum award years with the Siemens product line and four National Distributor of the year awards.
